Professional creative and performing artists belong to a unique occupational group. Being a professional musician takes considerable dedication. To be able to perform in concert takes several hours of practice per day. Musicians are a special risk group for repetitive strain injuries. Many musicians suffer from stage fright, panic attacks, burnout and depression.
As such, their health concerns are often specific to their profession and to their particular emotional and socio-economic circumstances.
Two years ago Polina, together with a group of like-minded friends (musicians, artists, psychologists, doctors, mind-body intervention specialists), established a first Russian Artists Health Centre.
