The Morellino Classica Festival from today to Sunday presents a 'three days' of small festival within the event entirely dedicated to the piano in its various forms of expression. Location of the "3 days" piano is the Castagnoli theater in Scansano. Five pianists from Russia, France, Germany, Japan, Italy will take the stage, among which stands out the name of Polina Osetinskaya, one of the most acclaimed Moscow pianists in the world, who will open the concerts today at 21:00.
Polina Osetinskaya began her career at the age of five acclaimed as an enfant prodige of the former Soviet Union. She gave her first concert at the age of six and entered the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory at the age of seven. Her first teacher was her father Oleg Osetinsky, then she continued her studies at the Leningrad Conservatory with Marina Wolf and later at the Moscow Conservatory with Vera Gornostaeva.
She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Barbican Center in London, the Teatro Argentina in Rome, as well as in Russia, Germany, Poland, Israel. Polina Osetinskaya has performed with Musica Aeterna, Mariinsky Orchestra, The Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia "Evgeny Svetlanov" and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
Her stage partners are Maxim Vengerov, Julian Milkis, Ksenia Rappoport, Teodor Currentzis, Laurent Petitgirard, Vladimir Spivakov, Alexander Sladkovsky, Vassily Sinaisky, Andrey Boreyko, Dmitry Liss, Gerd Albrecht, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Thomas Sanderling.
